The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners voted April 16 to approve a notice of sale for up to $10,000,000 in General Obligation Capital Improvement Plan Bonds, Series 2024A, to finance a new county public works facility.
County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong reviewed bond issuance paperwork and the board approved a Municipal Advisory Service Agreement with Northland Securities, Inc. Motion to approve the advisory agreement was made by Commissioner Tom Appel and seconded by Commissioner Kevin Stevens. The board subsequently adopted Resolution 24-04-16 approving the notice of sale (motion by Commissioner Kevin Stevens, second by Commissioner Larry Anderson; roll call vote recorded as unanimous).
The board also authorized the County Coordinator to sign the Rule 15c2-12 Certificate related to the bond issuance, a routine compliance document for municipal securities transactions.
The resolution and associated documents are on file in the County Coordinator’s office. The notice of sale begins the county’s formal process to market the bonds; final sale dates and interest terms will be set later in the financing schedule.
