Angie Dell, Page County treasurer, read a notice from the Iowa Department of Transportation that the Shenandoah driver's license satellite location will be discontinued, effective June 24, 2026.
"The Page County Treasurer's Office has been notified by the Iowa Department of Transportation that driver's license issuance services at the Shenandoah satellite location will be discontinued, effective 06/24/2026," Dell said. She said the DOT included frontline talking points for staff and that some services remain available through the Iowa DOT website.
Dell told the board she would post the DOT notice on the treasurer's social media channels and website and urged board members to direct residents who call to the Treasurer's Office for follow-up. Board members briefly discussed the site's history and how to route inquiries; no further county action was requested at the meeting.
Dell said the announcement may affect some residents who rely on the satellite location and encouraged residents to consult IowaDOT.gov for alternate services and locations.
