Greene County approves three OCJS subgrants totaling $258,001 for sheriff programs

Commissioner Sarah J. Mays moved Resolution 26-5-7-10 to approve a DIVERT Detective subgrant for $78,201.28, which includes a required cash match of $19,550.32 for the period Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2026. She also moved Resolution 26-5-7-11 to accept an Ohio Drug Law Enforcement subgrant for the A.C.E. Task Force of $119,800.03, with a cash match of $29,950.01 for the period July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Finally, the board approved Resolution 26-5-7-12, a Recovery Ohio Law Enforcement ETF subgrant for the A.C.E. Task Force in the amount of $60,000 covering May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. Commissioner Richard D. Gould seconded the motions; the roll-call votes were Koogler—Aye, Mays—Aye, Gould—Aye.
Together the three awards total $258,001.31 in grant funds with cash-match obligations noted in the motions. The resolutions authorize acceptance of the awards and execution of related documents; the motions specify the program periods and required matches where indicated. The board did not discuss changes to staffing or program design during the motion votes.
The approvals allow the Sheriff’s Office to proceed with program implementation under the stated grant periods and budget matches. The item was placed on the consent/business portion of the agenda and passed without amendment.
