Madera High ‘Madtown’ robotics team honored after fourth world championship

Team captain Miguel Angel Vargas, a senior, said his four-year involvement helped him grow and credited the team’s intensive practice schedule. Another student, Emmanuel Perez, said the experience and teamwork were transformative. The office of state Senator Anna Caballero presented a certificate of recognition to the team for their achievements in STEM education and student engagement.
The board and community applauded the students; a short video of the championship match was shown and photos were taken during the presentation.
