Washington County's Government Operations Committee on May 19 approved an overnight travel request for one staff member in the County Attorney's office to attend National Children's Trial Skills training in New York City.
County Administrator Melissa Fitch told the committee the travel request was not included in this year's County Attorney travel plan; the approved two'night stay costs $1,458 and, according to Fitch, funds are already budgeted so no amendment to the county budget was necessary. The motion to approve overnight travel was moved by Mr. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Wang and adopted.
The committee also approved the April 21, 2026 meeting minutes during the same session; that motion was moved by Mr. Wang, seconded by Mr. O'Brien and adopted.
