Sheboygan County Health & Human Services Committee approves vehicle use policy, out-of-state travel for lead risk assessor training

The Sheboygan County Health & Human Services Committee on May 19 approved a Health & Human Services Vehicle Use Policy and authorized out-of-state travel for a lead risk assessor, both motions carried with no nay votes during a meeting at the county Health & Human Services Building.
Supervisor Marilyn Montemayor moved to approve the vehicle use policy; Supervisor Wendy Schobert seconded the motion, which the committee approved with no nay votes. Montemayor also moved to approve out-of-state travel for lead risk assessor training; Schobert again seconded and the motion was approved with no nay votes.
The committee recorded that vouchers are on hold until the next meeting for further review. The agenda included a presentation titled “IMD and State Hospital Dynamics”; the minutes note the presentation occurred but do not record further discussion or committee action on that item.
Chairperson Bill Goehring opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. and certified compliance with the open meeting law. Present in person were Supervisors Bill Goehring, Marilyn Montemayor, Wendy Schobert, Kurt Jensen and Joe Liebau Jr., and citizen members Jeanne Kliejunas and Jean Beinemann; citizen member Larry Samet participated via Zoom. Supervisor Paul Gruber was absent. Staff listed on the minutes included Matthew Strittmater, Starrlene Grossman, Sarah Mueller, Michelle Acevedo, Chris Xiong, Wendy Gorges and Michelle Koch.
The meeting adjourned at 9:29 a.m. The next Health & Human Services Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2 at 8:30 a.m.
