Board approves hire of lead RN at higher step to meet regional market

Commissioners noted that offering a higher starting step is sometimes necessary to attract candidates and that the pick committee supported the hire. Commissioner Kravanoff moved to approve the hire and Commissioner Ebinger seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote.
Staff said they will proceed with recruitment consistent with county pay and hiring policies and will report back to the board on staffing outcomes.
