The plan also continues supports for behavior/discipline frameworks and adds Tier 3 specialized behavior interventions and additional supports for new teachers; the administration reported a new-teacher retention rate above 90%.
Trustee Kopp moved to approve the 2026–27 professional learning plan as recommended by administration; the motion passed on the record. Trustees signaled support for strengthening teacher capacity, aligning curriculum writing with the district instructional framework, and providing coaches and coordinators to assist teachers during planning days.
Administration said the plan is designed to align with district strategic goals and state requirements; board discussion was limited and the motion passed without amendment.
