At the start of the meeting the authority’s chair opened the session and reviewed the agenda, which included an update on the clinic building project and a review of the cash summary and accounts receivable reports. A committee member raised billing questions and noted they had not received recent construction updates since the holiday; they also referenced a matter involving “nurse Johnson” and the auditorium but did not provide further detail.
Staff reported that minutes for a recent special meeting have not yet been completed. “Minutes have not been done. They’ll be all completed in the next meeting,” the staff member said.
During the finance review, members discussed preparing reimbursement requests tied to the clinic project. The chair and committee member said the firm Jones and Demille will assist in preparing those requests, and that because the bond is closed the authority should be able to start requesting reimbursements for project costs. The chair summarized the reports as of July 3, 2025.
The authority then moved to take formal actions on the financial documents. A motion to acknowledge receipt of the cash summary and accounts receivable report dated July 3, 2025, was made and seconded and was approved by voice vote. The authority next considered an open invoice register dated July 3, 2025, totaling $4,635; that motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Members noted there was no disbursement listing for the municipal building authority and no purchase requests were presented. The chair also noted that the clinic contractor had started excavation work at the project site.
Before adjourning, the chair asked whether there was additional business; none was raised and the meeting was adjourned by acclamation at 9:27 a.m.
Next steps: staff will complete the outstanding minutes by the next meeting and follow up with Jones and Demille and county staff to prepare reimbursement requests for the clinic project.
