Pasco board hears final design for 2 Rivers K‑8; construction contract on tonight’s agenda

Cepcic showed interior and exterior renderings, including a central courtyard, a dining hall that the presentation said seats about 500 and four serving lines, two elevators and planned secured access points for the lobby and clinic. The design team described the building as tilt‑up construction and highlighted separate play areas for kindergarten and pre‑K inside a secured courtyard.
Presenters gave a construction timeframe that the board could later formalize: one speaker said construction would start in June with an August 2028 opening, while another referenced completion timing tied to opening for the 2028–29 school year. The presentation noted Williams Company will act as construction manager and PBK as the architect.
