Commissioners approve coastal planning amendment, give administrator authority to sign inland TA contract

County planning staff presented two planning items: a contract amendment to the coastal technical‑assistance agreement and a request to allow the county administrator to sign an inland technical‑assistance contract.
The coastal amendment — funding a shoreline workshop, outreach to regional partners and a statewide inventory of coastal data gaps — was described as a one‑time injection of funds from the Municipal Planning Assistance Program (now housed at MOCA). "This amendment is providing us additional funding to host a shoreline workshop ... and do outreach and engagement to regional partners," the planner said. Commissioners approved the amendment by voice vote.
Staff also asked the board to authorize the county administrator to review and sign an inland TA contract (approximately $1,200) to avoid procurement timing delays and ensure the contract can start on July 1. The board granted that authority and asked to see the signed contract at the next meeting.
The planner said she had a session proposal accepted at the National Association of Regional Councils conference and that Lincoln County’s site‑inventory project received the rural regional planning award; commissioners congratulated her.
No votes were taken beyond approval of the amendment and the authorization for the administrator to sign the small inland contract.
