The Butler County Board of Supervisors on May 12 approved several routine administrative items and received updates from county staff.
The board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments to prepare a RISE grant application tied to Industrial Park Road and the Feldmeier project. The board appointed a trustee to the Dumont Community Library Board of Trustees and approved a Class F retail alcohol license application for Tack-Barnett Post 268 of the American Legion in Greene, Iowa.
Engineer Riherd provided an update: site work has begun on the new Industrial Park Road; two sites are ready for Secondary Roads shed construction; the proposed Clarksville shed site is being evaluated and a trailer was refurbished in-house while rock hauling continues; an EMA paving project parking area is being completed. The board directed that engineer performance review and contract review be added to the next meeting agenda.
The board approved county claims and acknowledged receipt of manure management plan short-form annual updates from Henry Finisher #71513. The meeting adjourned at 9:38 a.m. to May 19, 2026.
