Henry County fiscal court accepts $991,307 county road‑aid contract and awards multiple road maintenance bids

That will be assigned and distributed in 3 distributions. First shall be a 60% apportionment in the amount of $576,941. The second distribution will be 30% and the final distribution will be distributed before the end of fiscal year of June date June 30.” The court then voted to accept the contract (motion by Danny; second by Brad; voice vote, motion carries).
The court also opened and awarded multiple road‑related bids. Staff presented rock and crushed‑stone bids for several aggregate grades and a striping bid. The court accepted the ROP bid from Leiter’s and accepted the striping bid from Reynolds Sealing and Striping for Radcliffe Road and Giltner Road, a combined total of $15,921.36, with the chair noting the striping expense will come from blacktop funds.
On highway materials, the court accepted a Morton Salt bid at $109.66 per ton with a 25‑ton minimum and dump‑truck delivery; staff noted that was lower than last year’s reported price of $121 per ton. For paving, staff reported three blacktop bids with per‑ton prices for surface, binder and base; the court approved the recommended acceptance of the presented blacktop bid package by voice vote.
