The HOA representative said the board preferred a durable, aesthetically pleasing solution even if it raised cost; other council members focused on child-safety concerns at a nearby drop-off and on options that would preserve visibility into the playground.
Staff said they would seek revised pricing and consider combinations of panels and solid sections to balance visibility, safety and cost, and that they would continue to consult the HOA. No formal action was taken; council asked staff to return with updated estimates and options.
