Jefferson County commissioners at their Dec. 15 meeting approved multiple land‑use items, made an appointment to the fair board, granted a cereal malt beverage license and adopted a resolution setting elected officials’ salaries.
Zoning and subdivision approvals included PR2025‑14/Z2025‑14 (Emery Meadows, a three‑lot subdivision), PR2025‑15/Z2025‑15 (Osage Meadows, a two‑lot subdivision), and Z2025‑16 (Hunt/Shenk rezoning enlarging an existing tract to 2.0 acres). Community Development Director Stephan Metzger presented the items and the board voted unanimously to approve each on motions by Commissioners David Christy and Doug Walbridge.
The board appointed Jason Klenklen to the Jefferson County Fair Board; Klenklen told commissioners he has lived in Jefferson County his whole life and has two children in 4‑H. The board approved a cereal malt beverage license for Tiger’s Den in Meriden and adopted Resolution 2025‑037, which sets salaries for elected officials; Commissioner David Christy read the resolution and signed related payroll change forms.
During a recess, the commission convened as the Jefferson County Land Bank Board and approved the sale of Lots 69, 71, 80 and 82 in Lakeshore Estates, Block S, for $2,010.00. The Land Bank adjourned and the commission reconvened.
The board recessed twice into executive session to discuss attorney‑client matters and pending litigation; the chair announced that no binding action was taken during those sessions. The meeting adjourned with the next regular session set for Dec. 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
