Jefferson County approves Landbank transfers and several easement vacations, tables road vacate request

The board authorized Chair David Christy to sign legal descriptions for 19 Landbank lots and approved two utility-easement vacations while tabling a request to vacate part of 182nd Road pending neighbor consultation.
Jefferson County commissioners on Dec. 1 authorized several property actions affecting multiple subdivisions and individual landowners.
Community Development Director Stephan Metzger told the board that 19 Landbank lots in Lakeridge Estates, Lakeshore Estates and Lakeside Village will be on the December agenda. Commissioner Doug Walbridge moved to authorize Chair David Christy to sign the legal descriptions in Exhibit A transferring those county parcels to the Landbank; Commissioner Richard Malm seconded and the board approved the motion.
Metzger also presented two requests to vacate utility easements. The board granted a utility-easement vacation for Shawn and Erin Hamner covering easements between specified lots in Lakewood Hills. Metzger later represented Neil Ditty for a separate request regarding lots on Pinto Drive; the board approved a motion allowing Mr. Ditty to abandon the utility easement.
A separate request from Ron Kranz to vacate a portion of 182nd Road and Sherman so he could put up a pasture fence was discussed. Public Works Director Ben Domann said he is not opposed but needs to consult the adjacent landowner; the board voted to table that request until next week.
All of the land-use approvals were moved and seconded during the meeting and recorded as approved by the commission. County staff will prepare the resolutions and take the ministerial steps required to finalize the easement vacations and Landbank transfers.
