Commissioners approve ag‑split exception for Tefft despite nonparticipation by neighboring owner

Metzger said Assistant County Counselor Jonathan Ehrlich recommended serving notice personally to a small parcel owner, Mr. Larkin, who had not been reachable previously; the minutes state Mr. Larkin was served but was not interested in participating. Metzger explained that if the exception is approved, Mr. Larkin’s tract would remain noncompliant and would need to be platted to achieve compliance.
Commissioner Richard Malm moved to approve the exception to Subdivision Regulations 3‑106.4, Commissioner Doug Walbridge seconded, and the board voted in favor. Metzger reminded the board that a special Land Bank meeting is scheduled for March 9, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at the courthouse.
