Commission approves replat and rezoning for Southern Star expansion

Commissioner Doug Walbridge moved to approve both items; Commissioner Richard Malm seconded. The board voted in favor, and Resolution Z2026-02 was signed by the board and the county clerk, Julie Dunkle.
Why it matters: the rezoning changes the permitted uses for the parcel and clears a procedural step needed for Southern Star to expand storage on the site. The approval follows the Planning Commission’s unanimous recommendation and means the county will accept the revised plat when it is presented after the Planning Commission signs off.
