Resident warns of safety hazards and alleged overpayments at Picnic Hill project

The resident urged greater involvement from parks and recreation and criticized the city manager for proceeding without council review; she said that while the council majority approved the completed work, the public might face safety risks and suggested the city pursue contractor corrections.
City staff and council heard the concern and said staff would follow up, noting photos and documentation will be reviewed and that staff will check permits and inspection sign-offs.
