The Waupaca Common Council voted to approve a certified survey map (CSM) that divides the parcel at 780 Bowling Lane so the animal clinic occupies a smaller lot and the remaining property can be configured for future development.
Staff said the parcel currently has split zoning and the applicant requested the split to separate the clinic from the balance of the lot; the Planning Commission recommended approval. The CSM is the first step in the process; staff noted good ingress/egress and potential for future roadway access.
Councilmember Martin moved to approve the certified survey map; Olson seconded. The council approved the measure by voice vote.
Staff said the owner has also requested rezoning to R-3 (multifamily) and that the city will monitor that rezoning application as it proceeds through the planning process.
