The Enoch City Council on May 6 approved an amendment to the city fee schedule to account for higher water meter costs and to raise the nonresident cemetery plot fee.
City Manager Ryan Robinson said the cost to procure meters increased and staff recommended updating the fee schedule to reflect that change. Treasurer Ashley Horton explained cemetery nonresidential fees and said the city consultied Cedar Valley Mortuary, which recommended a nonresident plot fee of $800; the council discussed whether to increase associated open/close fees and confirmed cemetery fee revenue is deposited into a savings account used to purchase additional cemetery land.
Council Member David Harris moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-05-06-C amending the fee schedule; Council Member Debra Ley seconded. The council recorded a roll-call vote with the members voting yes; the amendment passed. Council asked staff to review open/close service fees and return with recommendations.
The resolution updates the fee schedule; specific fee-line items and implementation dates will be reflected in the published city fee schedule.
