The Enoch City Council voted May 6 to approve a letter of support for a paved Enoch–Cedar City trail that would be funded through the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT).
City Manager Ryan Robinson described a flexible alignment (beginning and end not fixed) and said the planned trail would be paved for walking and biking and 8 to 12 feet wide. Council Members discussed maintenance responsibilities; Robinson confirmed the city would maintain only the Enoch portion if the project proceeds. Council Member Debra Ley expressed support with the caveat that city maintenance obligations be clear.
Council Member David Harris moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-05-06-B. Council Member Shawn Stoor seconded and the council approved the resolution in a roll-call vote in which all voting members recorded yes.
The approval was for a letter of support only; the specific project alignment and construction details will be determined by the funding and project planning process with UDOT.
