The Goshen Planning Board voted to grant a pair of 90‑day extensions for the Elm Hill Farms subdivision, moving the project’s conditional final approval deadline to Nov. 19, 2026.
The board considered a letter from attorney Bob Green on behalf of Goshen Estates LLC requesting a six‑month extension to preserve the original applicant’s approvals while the successor applicant resolves engineering and sales issues. The letter, read into the record, noted that the planning board had previously granted a six‑month extension that expired today.
Chair opened the matter after the correspondence was entered into the record. A board member recommended approving two 90‑day extensions to reflect the applicant’s request and local code timelines. The motion was made and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Board members said the requested extension responds to lingering engineering details and market volatility affecting the successor applicant’s ability to meet the conditions of approval. The applicant also hand‑delivered a $500 trust check to cover the extension administrative fee, the board noted.
The board did not place additional conditions on the extension during the meeting; staff will process the paperwork and update the project calendar. The extension preserves the town’s previous approvals while the applicant completes the outstanding items required for final sign‑off.
