Pittsburg County commissioners approved two lease‑purchase agreements on May 11 for heavy equipment to serve County Highway District 2. The board voted to accept lease documents for one John Deere 770P and one Caterpillar 140JY, both purchased through Sourcewell cooperative contracts. The motions carried unanimously.
Meeting paperwork attached to the minutes shows the John Deere 770P lease (serial 1DW770PACTLE11903) with a lease schedule and payments, and an assignment of the lease to Local Bank. The Caterpillar 140JY lease (serial 0EB210442) was also approved; paperwork shows an assignment to Welch State Bank and an amortization schedule with monthly payments. County certificates of acceptance for both machines were completed at the May 11 meeting. Commissioners recorded their votes as AYE: Ross Selman, Mike Haynes and Charlie Rogers.
Staff notes: the minutes include detailed lease schedules and assignment letters; the county’s insurance certificate names the new grader as a covered asset. The minutes show the county followed required acceptance steps: certificate of acceptance, assignment notices and the opinion of counsel documentation included in the files.
Provenance: Approval motions and acceptance certificates appear in the May 11 minutes and attached lease and assignment documents filed with the county clerk.
