Staff reported that nearly all AMI gateways and relays are powered up; seven cellular-modem gateways arrived and are being installed while one substation has a direct fiber connection operational. Eaton, the system integrator, will schedule training with the utility office once staff finish preliminary validation. A test period for installing meters and verifying communications is planned in the coming weeks.
Separately, staff said generators had been returned to service and a recent oil-filtration program had preserved parts and reduced spare-parts use. A building project (Sky Mountain) was reported at roughly 30% completion for wall work; tree-trimming work is about halfway through the scheduled addresses.
The board approved the minutes at the meeting start and closed without scheduling any closed sessions.
