Boone County commissioners approved several facility and equipment purchases and authorized an inspection of a Road Department semi at their May 11 meeting.
The board approved a Creative Window Designs quote for approximately $1,538 to install two screen roller shades on the District/County Court window. Commissioners also approved a Road Rake Attachments LLC quote to purchase a 36-8 road rake attachment for the Road Department for about $5,750.
For District #1 Road Shop breakroom repairs, the board accepted a Lesiak Home Repair quote of approximately $8,526.23 and separately approved replacing the breakroom’s HVAC with a Panasonic 12K BTU mini split from Criss Co Inc for about $3,460 (the board compared two quotes, including one from Kelly’s Heating & Air).
Road Supervisor Dan Evans reported damage to several Road Department semi cabs; the board voted to take one semi to Cornhusker International Trucks for a diagnostic inspection to determine repair costs and whether replacement is warranted.
The board also authorized staff to solicit quotes from three vendors for 30 cases of copy paper when supplies run low.
All procurement motions carried by recorded votes as noted in the meeting minutes.
