Boone County commissioners approve $438,462 in April payables, authorize $1.66 ARP interest transfer

The Boone County Board of Commissioners approved accounts payable and vendor claims at its May 11 meeting in Albion.
By roll call, the board approved accounts payable for April 2026 totaling $438,461.88 across funds: General $102,998.14; Road $319,655.23; ROD Preservation/Modernization $236.99; Covid American Rescue Plan Fund $1.66; 911 Emergency Management $553.52; 911 Wireless Service $8,711.56; and Ambulance $6,304.78. Commissioners Jon Lindgren (chair), Brian J. Yosten and Matt Niewohner voted to carry the motion unanimously.
Separately, the board approved County Vendor Claims for Vendor #1806, White Star Oil Company LLC, in the amounts General $1,093.57; Roads $15,589.71; and Ambulance $1,633.30, a combined total of $18,316.58. That motion passed with Lindgren and Yosten voting yea and Niewohner recorded as abstaining.
The County Treasurer presented April 2026 accrued interest in the Covid American Rescue Plan Fund. Under Resolution No. 2021-42 (approved Nov. 15, 2021), the board authorized transferring $1.66 from Fund 2580 (Covid ARP) to the General Fund (0100).
The board also received and filed monthly reports: County Clerk receipts of $16,052.12 (state portion $10,494.35); District Court receipts $850.99; Sheriff receipts $426.58; Zoning receipts $231.99; and Treasurer miscellaneous receipts (Nos. 22848–22919) totaling $4,671,344.16, with total collections of $10,309,700.02 for the period.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2026.
