Prosper ISD hires Impact Education Specialist to run superintendent search

The Prosper ISD board on May 18 voted unanimously to hire Impact Education Specialist to conduct its superintendent search after a 15‑minute presentation and follow‑up questions from trustees. Kevin Worthy, a partner at Impact, said the firm will help the board develop a candidate profile, conduct stakeholder input sessions and score applicants using a rubric the board helps create.
Worthy, who identified himself as a retired superintendent, told trustees: "This is your search," describing steps that include statewide recruitment, reference checks and a five‑minute video screen for candidates so the board can narrow the pool before face‑to‑face interviews. Jennifer Settle, also with Impact, said the firm will facilitate campus and community input sessions, summarize findings in an executive summary and help the board craft interview questions drawn from stakeholder feedback.
Trustees asked about timing and confidentiality. Impact recommended closing the application window before publicly reviewing candidate materials to protect currently employed superintendents who might apply. The firm said it typically leaves a superintendent posting open 30–45 days, will recruit actively across its networks and can conduct a summer search while noting stakeholder availability challenges during summer months.
The board moved and approved the contract 7–0. The administration said Impact will work with district staff to set dates and next steps. No compensation or contract amount was discussed in the public presentation.
The vote follows presentations from multiple firms earlier in the meeting and continues the board’s ongoing search for a replacement superintendent. The contract approval makes Impact the district’s official search partner and sets in motion the profile development and stakeholder input phase.
