Partners update: Medicaid tailored plans, innovations waiver slots and a Jan. 30 homeless count in Davie County

A partners representative provided a semiannual update on behavioral-health and managed-care efforts. She said the county's Medicaid Direct population is "a little over 690 members" for the reported quarter and explained that the state-authorized tailored plans combine behavioral- and physical-health management for certain populations.
The speaker said Davie County currently has about 195 members on the innovations waiver and 118 people waiting for an innovations slot. She described the recent federal approval that opens certain "19 15 I" services (as cited in the presentation) to eligible members and said expanded services and slot increases remain an advocacy priority.
Partners also described community outreach: two community conversations on suicide and an offer to provide Question-Persuade-Refer training on Jan. 23 at the Davie County Senior Services location. The partners update concluded with an announcement of a homeless point-in-time count on Jan. 30; organizers will begin at the Scottish Inn at 4 p.m. and deploy teams countywide to estimate homelessness and offer health checks and resources.
Commissioners asked logistical questions — whether the PowerPoint material was in their packets and how the point-in-time count would be conducted — and partners clarified that the Scottish Inn will serve as a staging point and that volunteers will fan out across the county.
No formal board action was taken on the partners' reports during the meeting.
