Ray County commissioners met across sessions May 6–14, 2026, and approved routine financial items, planning and zoning actions and several agreements. Presiding Commissioner Sheila Tracy, Commissioner Bobby Don Davis and Commissioner Max Hockemeier conducted votes that were recorded as carrying unanimously where noted.
The commission approved payables presented by Payables Clerk Trina Hudson and Treasurer Melissa Holloway and accepted the April balance report. Among approved payables were a monthly allocation to the Historical Society & Museum, a Capital Improvement payment to FM Electric and funding for University of Missouri Extension.
Planning & Zoning items presented by Stacy Wolfe were approved, including conditional use permits for Bennett (hardship) and DeAngelo (mobile home) and rezoning ordinances PZ 25-50 (Matthew's Acres, Lot 1), PZ 26-16 (New Garden School Replat, Lot 2A) and PZ 26-18 (Berry Ranch, Lots 1 & 2). Several plats were also approved.
Commissioners approved an agreement to raise the Eagleton Civic Center rental rate to $225; a portion of the revenue will be allocated to the center for maintenance and repairs. Commissioners also accepted a Sourcewell bid to purchase Gradall equipment for Road & Bridge operations.
Routine procedural motions were recorded throughout: motions to go into and out of session, to table and later un-table the April 29 and April 30 minutes, and to approve those minutes. Where recorded, motions carried 2-0 or 3-0 depending on who was present.
