The council on May 19 approved renewal of the city’s FY27 software support agreement with Central Square Technologies LLC for the Sandy Springs Police Department’s records management and public-safety solution at an annual cost of $235,135.81.
Micah Patrick, director of the city’s CIU unit, said the Central Square solution — formerly SunGard/HTE — is the department’s core records-management platform, supporting incident, accident, arrest and investigative records, evidence and related case information. The renewal is a standard annual purchase executed through a Sourcewell cooperative contract (030425-CNSQ); staff said funding is allocated in the proposed FY27 budget and that declining the renewal would jeopardize vendor maintenance, support and upgrades for a core public-safety system.
Council approved the renewal by motion and voice vote. Staff noted the renewal amount exceeds the city manager’s procurement threshold, which prompted council-level review for transparency.
