Oneida County approves consent agenda including ADRC donation, land conveyances and opioid-project closures

The Oneida County Board of Supervisors adopted a consent agenda at its May 19 meeting that included multiple routine resolutions and appointments.
Key approvals included Resolution #33-2026, accepting a $1,000 donation from St. Theresa of Avila to the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) for use at the Three Lakes Meal Site as part of the ADRC Senior Nutrition Program; Resolution #34-2026 and #35-2026 conveying excess county lands to adjoining owners (Joseph and Holly Klass) and to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Town of Lake Tomahawk, respectively; and Resolution #36-2026 to close certain projects funded by opioid settlement funds and to return unused balances to the opioid settlement fund balance.
Resolution #36 recapped that Oneida County’s estimated total settlement proceeds were $1.48 million; Project #1 (TAD grant project) was complete for $23,187.00 with no return to fund balance, and Project #5 (hearing room improvements) was complete for $22,717.26 resulting in $7,282.74 returned to the balance. The Executive Committee recommended closing these projects and authorized the Finance Director to make necessary transfers.
The board also approved a slate of appointments and reappointments to local districts, commissions and boards, including the reappointment of Dawn Winquist to the Oneida Vilas Transit Commission through April 2029 and several lake district appointments.
Approval: A motion by Ted Cushing, seconded by Robert Briggs, carried on roll call: 17 Aye; 3 Absent (Holewinski, Timmons, Sorgel); 1 Vacant (District 1).
