The Regional CCS Coordination Committee reviewed a newly developed resource comparison intended to smooth transitions for participants moving between Ashland and Bayfield county CCS programs and heard staff updates on outreach and referral trends.
Julie Winter, a CCS staff member, said the resource document lists differences between the two counties' CCS programs so that Service Facilitators can explain distinctions to participants leaving one county and entering another. Winter said the document was developed from feedback provided by CCS participants and committee members.
Committee member Teri Ovaska suggested that the provider updates included in the Administrator Report may be redundant because vendor-list changes are reviewed separately during meetings. Winter reported ongoing outreach at BRICK and community shelters — noting that she maintains a table of resources at those events — and that she will attend more events in coming months to facilitate outreach and referrals. Winter and staff reported 25 online referrals so far this year, about one-third of the total referrals in 2025, indicating an increase in online referral activity.
The committee discussed crisis policies and the CCS Safety Plan at length but did not record any formal action items on those documents during this meeting. The resource comparison and outreach notes were recorded in the meeting minutes for follow-up and distribution.
