Twinsburg board approves superintendent relocation change and moves to appoint Sierra Deville as Wilcox principal

The Twinsburg City School District board on April 8 approved several personnel items, including a modification to the superintendent’s employment contract and a recommendation to appoint Sierra Deville as principal at Wilcox Primary School beginning with the 2026–27 school year.
By resolution, the board modified the relocation provision of the superintendent’s employment agreement to permit up to 180 days (instead of 90) for the superintendent to establish residence within the district or a neighboring district and to reimburse reasonable, documented relocation expenses up to $5,000. The resolution, which the board read into the record, also included a repayment requirement if the superintendent voluntarily resigns or is terminated for cause within 12 months of the effective date. The board approved the change by roll call vote (5-0).
Separately, the board accepted certified, classified, supplemental and pupil-activity contract recommendations as presented, pending satisfactory background checks. During the personnel votes the board formally congratulated and moved forward with recommending Sierra Deville, the district’s assistant principal at Dodge, to serve as principal at Wilcox Primary School for the 2026–27 school year. The personnel package and the principal recommendation passed; recorded roll-call voting showed four votes in favor and one abstention on the principal item.
Board members spoke in praise of Deville’s leadership at Dodge and welcomed the anticipated transition to Wilcox. The board also discussed background-check conditions and completion of required permits for pupil-activity assignments as part of the personnel approvals.
All personnel approvals were presented as contingent on satisfactory Ohio background checks and completion of any required pupil activity permits where applicable.
