So, we can’t separate it out that way,” he said. He added that including the pathway in the base bid generally produces better pricing than leaving it as an alternate.
Committee discussion identified total project costs in the packet at about $1.8 million plus additional items noted elsewhere on the agenda; Zamazak said the city entered the grant application understanding its share would exceed $600,000. Council members did not object and the motion to approve the contract passed by voice vote.
