Several trustees urged greater opportunities for smaller local providers to participate in future RFPs and asked how the district will evaluate the vendors’ outcomes and cost‑effectiveness. Staff said the current contracts are in year five of a five‑year master agreement and that a new solicitation will be prepared; they agreed to bring data on vendor performance, student outcomes and funding allocations to inform the next RFP.
Trustees also asked staff to confirm the sustainability of funding streams and the contingency plan if state or federal funding is reduced. The motion to renew the contracts passed with unanimous support.
