- Technology design services (2025 bond): the board approved a design services agreement with IDS Integrated Design Solutions. The fee was presented as 5.5% of the budgeted technology work; staff cited a budgeted technology cost of approximately $20,628,000 for calculation and planning.
- Chartwells food service renewal: the board approved renewing the food‑service contract; the contract rate will increase by 4% for the next school year (motion carried 6–0). Staff noted the rates were reviewed and approved by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Bus purchases: the district approved the purchase of four school buses from Helen Bus Company, funded through series 1 of the 2026 bond in the amount of $62,420 (motion carried 6–0); trustees asked staff to obtain a comparative quote for electric powertrains for future consideration.
- Oakland Schools ISD budget: the board adopted a resolution supporting the Oakland Schools fiscal year 2027 budget (motion carried 6–0).
- Oakland Schools electoral body: the board designated Maryanne Rooney as its representative and Jamie Clebert as alternate to vote in the Oakland Schools ISD election and directed its representative to vote for candidate Gary Hoff (motion carried 6–0).
Board members also approved routine consent agenda items earlier in the meeting, accepted the personnel report and moved other procedural items. Most votes were unanimous; when named, movers and supporters were recorded in the minutes (e.g., many motions were recommended by Mr. Mena and supported by Mrs. Rooney).
