The county administrator told the board that months of research with the state uncovered an updated agreement executed in 2013 placing repair responsibility on the county. The requested transfer would pay to replace a metal roof, repair interior drywall damaged by leaks, replace doors and address prior mold concerns; staff said a mold study had been completed and funded from excess revenue.
Mark (driver-license office staff) said the service provides convenience to the public, and commissioners discussed whether the office could be consolidated into other county facilities in the future, but approved the transfer so repairs can proceed and no public services are disrupted.
The board approved the budget transfer by motion and voice vote.
