Taylor County commissioners adopted a resolution to waive boat-ramp fees for 100% disabled veterans at county-owned and -operated ramps.
County administrator Conrad said he had coordinated with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), which approved waiving ramp fees, and presented a draft resolution authorizing the county to implement the waiver. Conrad said staff would work with the tax collector and clerk to establish a qualification mechanism, noting that some veterans carry a qualifying tag and that staff would seek a lifetime pass if practicable.
Commissioner F. moved to read the resolution by title; the board read the title aloud — “resolution of the board of county commissioners of Taylor County Florida waving the boat ramp fees to the boat ramps owned and operated by Taylor County to all disabled veterans” — and approved the resolution by voice vote.
Staff said they will work out verification procedures and pass issuance logistics with the tax collector and clerk.
