The council discussed available fund balances in the jail LIT fund and the timing of any state special distributions that have helped cover such work in prior years. Council member Todd moved and the council approved an authorization not to exceed $135,000 to cover the elevator work, plumbing repairs, and the generator exerciser from the jail LIT fund.
Mayfield also noted the K‑9 retirement (K‑9 Barry) as an FYI. Council asked staff to notify commissioners and to work with maintenance on scheduling and procurement; the motion carried 5–0.
