The Acton Select Board approved an Eversource petition on May 18 to install 16 poles on Quarry Road (pole numbers 91/20 through 91/35) to extend service for a five‑unit residential development at 123 Cory Road.
Christine Gossby, an Eversource representative, described the proposal and thanked town staff for coordinating pole placement to avoid trees where possible. Board members and the town engineering memo supported the proposal, noting the plan’s diagonal alignment saves trees and mirrors past installations on Quarry Road.
Planning and engineering staff recommended approval subject to standard engineering conditions. The board closed the public hearing and approved the petition by unanimous vote.
What’s next: Eversource will follow the engineering memo dated May 14, 2026 and coordinate field work and final permitting with town engineering staff.
