Klamath County commissioners approved Amendment No. 6 to the franchise agreement with Allied Waste Transfer Services of Oregon LLC, doing business as Republic Services of Oregon, on May 19. The amendment allows a 2.9% rate increase effective July 1, 2026; staff estimated an annual franchise revenue increase of approximately $1,175 that would be allocated to recycling and code enforcement budgets.
