Resident says longstanding vegetation in wetland buffer at 1226 Lake Park Drive may hinder sale; staff recommends code-enforcement report

The resident said they had not authorized the plantings and that the wetland vegetation has encroached on the lot and the adjacent lake. A staff speaker advised the resident to file a report with the city’s community development department and noted that community development staff (Tammy and Alex) and the building-inspection contacts (Al Carlson and building official Al Christensen) handle wetland/code follow-up.
"I guess I need to report this to the proper authorities and some policing authorities will come in there, take a look at the situation and assess it from there," the resident said. City staff reiterated that code enforcement would investigate and that permit or wetland-code violations would be handled by the community development department.
The board did not take formal action; the resident said they would return to public comment after reporting to the city.
