Belton ISD trustees approve consent agenda and elect officers in unanimous votes

Following presentations and reports May 18, the Belton ISD Board of Trustees moved through the business portion of its meeting.
A motion to approve the consent agenda was called; the chair confirmed a motion and second were on the record and the board approved the consent agenda by voice vote recorded as passing 7–0. Later in the meeting trustees nominated and elected officers for the coming year. A motion to appoint Chris Flor as board president, Aaron Bass as vice president and Rucker Preston as secretary passed by a recorded vote of 7–0.
The president then announced board committee assignments: Aaron Bass and Riley Beck to continue on the policy committee; (two) Jeff Norwood and a trustee (transcript: Minoser) on the facilities committee; Brandon Bzon and Rucker Preston on the budget committee; and the president named himself plus trustees Rucker Preston and Jeff Norwood to a district safety and security committee. The board recorded the committee-appointment motion as passing 7–0.
The meeting recessed into closed session for student-discipline, personnel and legal consultation and later reconvened to take the votes above. The meeting adjourned at 9:13 p.m.
