The Homewood City Council on May 18 moved forward item 100526, a request to execute an easement agreement with McConnell White and Terry Realty to permit irrigation and landscaping north of the Pigs property associated with the US 31 pedestrian tunnel project.
Amy Zary described the easement will allow installation of irrigation and plantings in the green space adjacent to the tunnel project; staff said the project will proceed to bid on May 28. Council asked for a rendering and Amy said she would email the visual materials to council members.
Project details presented include planting and irrigation scope for the green area north of the property; staff indicated this easement will support the pedestrian-tunnel improvement work already in design.
Next steps: staff will include the easement on the council agenda for formal action and advertise the project for bid on May 28.
