Board president reads resignation letter from Dale Porter; board enters closed session on teacher compensation

During the May 18 board meeting, President Carolyn read a resignation letter from board member Dale Porter in which Porter said he would resign from his position on the Mukwonago School District board to focus on personal matters. The letter thanked administrators, staff and fellow board members for the opportunity to serve and reflected on district gains during his tenure.

After public business and several action items, the board made a motion, seconded and approved entering closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85 to discuss teacher compensation. Voice votes were recorded for members present and the open session was closed for executive session.
