The Village of Brown Deer considered a revised lease with F Street Group for on‑street parking along Deerwood Drive but the board failed to approve the revised agreement at the May 18 meeting.
Trustees discussed an amendment to shorten the leased block length and whether the annual escalation clause — written as a $250 per‑year increase — should be a minimum rather than an automatic increase. Trustee Johnson reiterated earlier opposition, saying he did not support the lease. A motion to approve the revised lease was moved by Trustee Woods and seconded; the motion failed and staff said they would report back to F Street with the board’s direction.
Because the amendment failed, the board left the prior lease terms (including a $10,000 starting fee and the $250 annual escalation as written) in place for staff to address with the proposer.
No formal approval of a revised lease occurred; staff will follow up with F Street on next steps.
