The Greenfield Union School District board approved several action items on May 14, including an educational field trip, multiple facility‑fee resolutions and routine AB1200 public disclosures.
The board unanimously approved an 8th‑grade educational travel request to Washington DC and New York (June 8–12) presented by teacher April Hel. The trip uses World Strides, carries a per‑student cost of about $3,100 and includes fundraising and a $249 optional cancellation insurance. The board moved and approved the out‑of‑state travel by roll call vote.
On facilities, the board held hearings and approved Resolution 1221 and Resolution 1222 adopting the 2026 school facilities needs analysis and establishing level‑one and level‑two developer fees; there were no public comments on those items. Trustees recorded roll‑call votes approving each resolution.
The board also conducted and approved AB1200 public disclosures of collective‑bargaining terms for GTA (teachers/tech), CSCA (classified) and management units; staff said no public comment was offered on these hearings and each disclosure was approved by roll call.
During consent‑agenda consideration trustees pulled item 7 (lease amendment for administrative facilities) and item 24 (employee notices) for separate votes. Staff explained the property owners had proposed different terms; the board discussed a five‑year lease option with an annual 3% increase (staff said owners originally sought a longer term), and then approved the consent items and the pulled items by roll call.
All motions recorded in the transcript passed by roll call; the board set its next regular meeting for June 4, 2026.
