North Bend council adopts six‑year Transportation Improvement Plan 2027–2032

North Bend City Council unanimously adopted the six‑year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) for 2027–2032 at its May 19 meeting.
City staff presented the TIP summary and packet materials and noted the plan remains largely unchanged from the prior year except for several priority updates: the North Benway complete‑street Segment 4 (from the Toruson Park entrance east to 436th Avenue) was moved up the priority list, project T073 (B Avenue South roadway and parking improvements) and the Beret Plaza project were added, and the 2027 sidewalk gaps project was added. Projects highlighted in the packet were described as actively being designed and accompanied by project narratives and maps in the council packet.
The Transportation and Public Works Committee reviewed the TIP in March and April and recommended adoption. No members of the public spoke during the continued public hearing on the TIP at the May 19 meeting. Councilmembers emphasized the plan's dependence on external grant funding and the importance of prioritizing downtown complete‑street investments to support walkability and local business access.
Council moved to approve resolution AB26‑044 as a final reading; the motion passed unanimously.
Vote: AB26‑044 adopted unanimously (6‑0).
