The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council approved a resolution confirming nuisance‑abatement costs of $22,249.65 for property at 2064 Gallerita Drive and directed staff to submit the amount to the Los Angeles County auditor‑controller for collection as a special assessment.
Code Enforcement Officer Britney Peña summarized the case history: code violations first noted in April 2022 (unpermitted construction, inoperable vehicles and property maintenance issues), repeated outreach and notices, an abatement warrant in January 2026 and abatement work completed with the city’s contractor in coordination with the sheriff’s station. Peña presented before‑and‑after photos showing debris and inoperable‑vehicle removal.
"Staff recommends the city council adopt the resolution ... confirming the abatement costs and authorizing a lien on the property," Peña said. Council closed the hearing, adopted the resolution by roll call and directed the city attorney and finance director to prepare the lien documentation for recording with the county recorder.
The action places a special assessment on the property in the amount of the abatement costs; the council recorded its vote in the meeting minutes.
